Yggdrasil Announces Its Brand New ‘Splitz’ Video Slot Mechanic
Yggdrasil has unveiled a brand new slot mechanic.
The popular game provider, which is known for slots such as Sahara Nights and Spina Colada, announced its brand new Splitz gameplay mechanic for video slots. Although it was officially announced today, the brand new mechanic will only be incorporated into the developer’s future video slots.
Yggdrasil believes the mechanic will boost player engagement and provide users with big win potential. Essentially, the mechanic consists of a new Mystery symbol which will drop down onto the reel and split up to 12 times. The split symbols that land will always be of the same symbol, giving you a chance to make lots of winning combinations and land big wins.
According to the game provider, the first video slot to include the new mechanic will be Temple Stacks, an online slot which will reportedly have 200,000 paylines. The game is scheduled for a release in January, making it one of Yggdrasil’s first new games of 2020. Nothing else is known about the video slot.
Natalya Ovchinnikova, the Product Owner of Slots at Yggdrasil, said in a statement: “We are delighted to launch Splitz, an electrifying new mechanic that gives our slot gameplay an exhilarating boost. The feature exemplifies our constant drive for innovation, and we look forward to introducing it to operator partners and players.”
Yggdrasil’s Growing Content
The news comes as Yggdrasil continues to develop and release brand new video slots. Over the last few months, the firm has launched several popular and highly praised slots including sci-fi space adventure Avatars: Gateway Guardians in which players are tasked with rescuing a species known as Avatars.
Other recently launched games include Aldo’s Journey, 9K Yeti, Age Of Asgard, Blood Moon Wilds, Lilith’s Inferno, Sahara Nights, Racing Lovers, and Nikola Tesla’s Incredible Machine. Meanwhile, the firm has also launched several table games including John Carew Blackjack and Golden Chip Roulette.
Back in September, the game provider also revealed that a Casumo Casino player had triggered a giant €3 million jackpot on Yggdrasil’s Joker Millions slot. According to the firm, the Finnish mobile player won the life-changing jackpot after making a bet of just €0.50.
The slot developer is also currently running its Christmas Adventures promotion where €30,000 worth of prizes are all up for grabs. Between now and Christmas, users who play select games can win special prizes including luxury holidays, the latest gadgets and free spins on various games.
