Microgaming, NetEnt, Yggdrasil, Rabcat & Iron Dog Release New Games
We’re halfway through November and this week has been one of the busiest for casino game releases, seeing providers Microgaming, NetEnt, Yggdrasil, Rabcat, and Iron Dog Studios all launch their latest games.
Microgaming spearheaded the week by releasing its Volatile Slot game, developed by Golden Rock Studios exclusively for Microgaming. The slot is Golden Rock Studios’ first, and it uses a 5×3 layout with 10 paylines as the reels are set against an uninhabited island where a dangerous volcano looms in the distance.
The game is packed with numerous special features including the Volcanic Wilds which substitutes for many symbols and can randomly transform into Exploding Wilds which award multipliers of up to 64x. The symbols also trigger the game’s Free Spins feature where players are awarded 10 free spins with potential to land more.
Microgaming’s Chief Commercial Officer at Microgaming said in a statement: “With more than 15 new games in the pipeline, Golden Rock Studios are set to broaden our range with fresh and diverse content. Volatile Slot is an impressive debut title and is now available across Microgaming’s entire customer base following a two-week period of exclusivity with LeoVegas.”
Golden Rock Studios CEO James Curwen added: “We are proud to team up with Microgaming and look forward to providing them with many more exclusive games in the coming months. Our first release, Volatile Slot, delivers an exhilarating, high-volatility gameplay experience and is filled with stimulating game mechanics and vibrant visuals.”
NetEnt Releases Who’s The Bride?
NetEnt also announced the release of a new slot this week with its Who’s The Bridge?, a Chinese wedding-themed online slot. The game uses a 5×3 layout with nine paylines, and symbols in the game include five Chinese brides as well as various Chinese-themed symbols and the traditional playing card letters and numbers.
Who’s The Bride is packed with special features. The Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter while landing three or more Scatters triggers 12 free spins with Sticky Wild symbols which hold their position for the duration of the Free Spins feature. Landing one or more Sticky Wilds on all reels triggers an additional five spins in the Free Spins feature.
NetEnt’s Director of Games Bryson Upton said of the slot: “Who’s The Bride? is a simple, yet beautifully-crafted slot. It’s a perfect union of graphics, sound and gameplay with high volatility and simple, proven mechanics.”
Yggdrasil Launches New Innovative Blackjack Game
While the other game providers here released new slots, Yggdrasil took a different direction by releasing its John Carew Blackjack. Norwegian footballer John Carew is featured as the game’s virtual dealer, and the game allows three players to sit at the table for what Yggdrasil describes as a “truly interactive, shared casino experience”.
The brand new game, which is exclusive to ComeOn Casino, follows all of the traditional rules of Blackjack but features Carew via jaw-dropping 3D graphics. What’s more, Yggdrasil developed the game using motion capture technology to model the movements of Carew as a virtual dealer, and what can be more exciting than that?
Yggdrasil’s Head of Table Games Johan John said: “John Carew Blackjack is an exciting new addition to our table games portfolio, and one we are delighted to have exclusively partnered with ComeOn to create. The big striker had an excellent reputation for winning and scoring goals, and now he can deal winning hands to players.”
Rabcat Launches A Stormy New Slot
Turning back to slots, independent studio Rabcat announced the launch of its latest slot North Storm, a Norse-themed online slot which sees players take on the forces of Thor and other gods to earn winning combinations and other rewards. The brand new slot uses a 5×3 layout with 25 paylines and has an RTP rate of 96.13%.
Symbols in the slot are all based on Norse mythology and the Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols excluding the Free Spins symbol. The Free Spins symbol can trigger the Free Spins feature where players are awarded eight free spins with the potential to land more.
If that isn’t enough, Rabcat’s North Storm includes a Bonus Falls feature where all winning combinations disappear and remaining symbols fall into their place to close any gaps. Lastly, for every subsequent Bonsu Fall after a winning combination, your overall win will benefit from a multiplier of between x1 and x4.
Iron Dog’s MegaWays Video Slot
Games developer Iron Dog Studio, owned by 1X2 Network, also announced the release of new slot Pirate Kingdom MegaWays. The new game is Iron Dog’s first MegaWays-licenses slot and features an exciting pirate theme in which a crew of pirates attack a trading ship to seize its treasure.
Pirate Kingdom MegaWays uses an everchanging number of paylines across its six reels. What’s more, the game’s symbols include various pirates, treasure chests, and a ship’s wheel along with the traditional playing card numbers and letters. Special features include a Wild symbol which acts as a multiplier and substitutes for all symbols excluding the Free Spins.
The game also features a tumble feature in which winning symbols disappear and new symbols drop down in their place. Landing four consecutive winning combinations via the tumbles on a single spin triggers the Free Spins feature with eight spins with the potential to land more spins and multipliers too.
Kevin Reid, the Chief Commercial Officer at 1×2 Network, said in a statement: “Pirate Kingdom MegaWays is set to be one of our most successful games to date. Creating a slot using the revolutionary MegaWays mechanics has enabled us to add a new dynamic to our portfolio, which is already hugely popular with players. Pirate Kingdom MegaWays will undoubtedly be a massive hit industry-wide and we’re delighted that LeoVegas will be launching it exclusively before a network-wide release.”
All of the above casino games are available at online casinos within the United Kingdom.
