LeoVegas Joins Netherlands Online Gambling Association

Also this week, popular online casino LeoVegas has joined the Netherlands Online Gaming Association (NOGA).

According to GamblingInsider, NOGA is an organisation aiming to represent the majority of online gambling firms operating in the Dutch market when it launches on October 1st. The organisation has said operators should join to ensure they offer customer protection, responsible gambling, and equal chances at winning.

Peter-Paul de Goeij, the NOGA Managing Director, said in a statement: “We are absolutely thrilled with this news. LeoVegas is a well-recognised and appreciated brand, it has a great track record and brings swathes of knowledge and experience to NOGA, which it in turn can offer to and share with the local gambling industry.

“Like the other members of NOGA, LeoVegas takes consumer protection and responsible gambling extremely seriously, and leads the way with initiatives like LeoCare. We look forward to closely working together with them to the greater good of the Dutch gambling market.”

Daniel Valiollahi, the Director of Communication and Public Affairs at LeoVegas, added: “We are looking forward to the Dutch market, finally, introducing local licenses that will ensure fair competition and high consumer protection. LeoVegas’ corporate strategy is to grow in locally regulated markets, and as such we believe in well-represented and well-respected trade organisations such as NOGA to be a constructive speaking partner, ensuring Dutch re-regulation is successful.”

Last month, LeoVegas launched its new Blue Guru Games development studio, which will design exclusive games for LeoVegas and provide them to other operators. As we reported, the first few games by Blue Guru Games will release later this year and the studio is aiming to release 20 games within the next 24 months.
