Yggdrasil Launches ‘Temple Stacks’ Slot With New Splitz Mechanic

Temple Stack

Yggdrasil has launched a new video slot featuring a never-before-seen game mechanic.

The leading game provider, which is known for games such as Vikings Go Berserk and Aldo’s Journey, announced the release of its new slot Temple Stacks this week which features the provider’s revolutionary new mechanic Splitz.

Temple Stacks is the first video slot to use the Splitz mechanic which, according to Yggdrasil, offers “never-before-seen win potential”. The game uses an Aztec theme and has a 3×5 layout with 243 paylines.

The Splitz mechanic, however, can boost the number of paylines up to 248,832. Symbols in the game are based on “monstrous beasts” as well as multi-coloured jewels. It also features Scatter symbols which can trigger re-spins or the Free Spins mode.

What’s more, Temple Stacks includes several other special features including Mystery Stacks which can fill reels and reveal anything including three to nine matching stacked symbols that can create big wins.

If that’s not enough, Yggdrasil’s slot has several bonus rounds which players can unlock. This includes Bronze, Silver, Gold or Diamond, where players can select to sacrifice spins for better chances of making wins. The Diamond round features up to 12 symbols per stack for more win potential.

Jonas Strandman, Yggdrasil’s Senior Product Strategist, said in a statement: “With our Splitz mechanic offering thousands of ways to win, every spin could generate huge rewards and we couldn’t be more excited to launch our first Splitz title. We eagerly look forward to seeing how the game is received by Yggdrasil fans across the globe.”

Yggdrasil’s New Gambling License

The news comes weeks after Yggdrasil revealed that it had acquired by the Isle Of Man Supervision Commission, allowing it to offer its games to casino sites operating in the Isle of Man jurisdiction.

With the new Isle of Man license, Yggdrasil is now able to operate in eight jurisdictions including the UK, Malta, Gibraltar and Romania. The new license allows Yggdrasil to expand its player reach.

Fredrik Elmqvist, the CEO of Yggdrasil, said in a statement: “Ever since we began the business, we have been highly regulated and highly compliant in every major gaming jurisdiction. We take great pride in adhering to regulatory best practice and place great emphasis on compliance and responsible gaming across all our products. We’re delighted to add the Isle of Man to this prestigious regulatory roster, our eighth B2B license, and I’m sure many more will follow in the years to come.”

Yggdrasil’s Temple Stacks Splitz is available now and can be played at Casumo Casino, which we’ve reviewed here.
