Play’n GO, Microgaming, And Pragmatic Play Release New Video Slots

Microgaming, Play'n GO, And Pragmatic Play Release New Slots

This week has seen the release of new video slots from developers Pragmatic Play, Microgaming, and Play’n GO. The new slots all feature a plethora of exciting special features and other gameplay mechanics. Take a look below to discover more about the new video slots.

Play’n GO’s Trollish Sequel

Play’n GO announced the worldwide launch of its new video slot yesterday (June 18). Titled Troll Hunters 2, the game is a sequel to Play’n GO’s highly successful Troll Hunters and had previously launched exclusively with Kindred. Troll Hunters 2 uses a 5×5 layout with zero paylines and it follows troll hunters Yiva, Borghild, and Astrid as they work to protect their village from terrifying trolls.

It’s packed with dozens of special features including Cluster wins, up to three selectable Free Spins modes offering up to nine spins and Multiplier Wilds, Wild substitutions, and a fun Bonus feature. There’s also a Win Spin feature which triggers a re-spin, helping to make more winning combinations.

Speaking about the slot as a sequel, Play’n GO CPO Martin Zettergren said: “There are many factors to consider when creating a sequel, or adding to a series of games. While you want to capture the familiarity of the original and keep the elements that made it successful in the first place, you can’t simply retread old ground and expect the same results. We’ve always maintained that we only revisit titles when we feel we can bring a new dimension to what’s gone before, and Troll Hunters 2 is a perfect example.”

Microgaming’s Roman Release

Microgaming also released a video slot through its brand new partnership with SpinPlay Games, an up-and-coming studio based in Las Vegas. The slot, titled Roman Power, is SpinPlay Games’ debut title and it whisks players away to Ancient Rome where big wins and plenty of fun special features await. The slot, which features a Roman-inspired background, uses a 5×3 layout with 20 paylines and it has an RTP of 96.18%. The symbols in the slot include gladiator armour, shields, helmets, swords, as well as the traditional playing card letter and numbers.

Features in the video slot include Hero Wilds which substitute for other symbols and expand to fill an entire reel, Power Multipliers of up to 10x to make for bigger wins. Unfortunately, there’s no Free Spins mode which many users may find somewhat disappointing.

Pragmatic Play’s Three Star Slot

Pragmatic Play also released a new video slot this week titled Three Star Fortune. The game is based on the ancient Chinese Gods of Wealth and is packed with dozens of special features as well as other fun mechanics. Three Star Fortune uses a 5×3 layout with 10 paylines and it has an RTP of 96.27%.

Some of the special features in the game include three Wild symbols which expand to fill an entire reel, substitute for other symbols, and triggers re-spins to help create more winning combinations. If more Wilds land on a re-spin, players trigger additional re-spins and this continues until no more Wilds land on the reels.

Melissa Summerfield, the Chief Commercial Officer at Pragmatic Play, said in a statement: “Three Star Fortune is undoubtedly a valuable addition to our slot portfolio. We a highly appreciated theme, Expanding Wilds and massive win potential, players will be keeping a keen eye out for the ancient Gods of Wealth bringing their riches to the reels.”
