Scientific Games also announced a new slot this week developed by Red7 exclusively for the firm. The company’s brand new slot is a reimagining of Tetris as a video slot. Tetris Extreme is based on the classic video game and uses design elements from it. The game doesn’t have paylines and instead requires players to make clusters of matching symbols to create wins.

The symbols come in various shapes and colours just like the original Tetris game but the slot boasts several special features including Line Clear Multipliers added to each cluster, a Free Spins mode of up to 10 spins, and the Mega Drop which consists of three progressive jackpots that can be won randomly during play.

Dylan Slaney, the Senior Vice President of Casinos at Scientific Games, said in a statement: “Tetrix Extreme Mega Drop brings to life the beloved global video game brand as a high-quality slot game experience. We’re eager to make a splash with fans in iGaming markets across the globe by combining that undeniable Tetris feel with our player-favourite Mega Drop mechanic.”
