Microgaming, Playson, NetEnt and Play'n GO New Slots

Microgaming, Playson, NetEnt and Play’n GO have all announced the release of new video slots this week.

Leading provider Microgaming announced its new slot Jungle Jim And The Lost Sphinx this week. The developed revealed that the new slot, which was developed by Stormcraft Studios exclusively for Microgaming, uses a 5×4 layout with 50 paylines and is packed with numerous special features.

The game takes place in Egypt with the reels set against a backdrop of the desert, and symbols include gems, books, vases, and Jungle Jim himself. The Wild symbol in the game, represented by the slot’s logo, acts as a Wild and substitutes for most symbols, while the Scatter triggers the Free Spins feature.

Players benefit from multipliers in both the base game and Free Spins feature where consecutive wins are multiplied between x2 and x20. Meanwhile, spins that fail to land a winning combination trigger a free respin, giving players a chance to make more winning combinations.

Playson’s Super Burning Wins Respin

Playson also announced a new slot this week with its Super Burning Wins: Respin, the latest game in the firm’s Timeless Fruit Slots series. In Playson’s official announcement, Playson revealed that the new game uses a 3×3 layout with five paylines and features traditional fruit-based slot symbols.

What’s more, the slot comes with a brand new special feature never seen before in a Playson slot. The Second Chance Respin mechanic is triggered when two of the three reels are filled with identical fruit symbols on a non-winning spin. The respin gives players a chance to make winning combinations.

NetEnt Announces Reel Rush 2

NetEnt, meanwhile, made headlines by announcing Reel Rush 2, the sequel to NetEnt’s 2013 hit game Reel Rush. The new game, according to NetEnt’s announcement, takes the “best parts” of the slot and adds several new features.

The sequel slot uses a 5×5 layout with 3,125 paylines and is set in a colourful land of sweets and candy. It’s also packed with several special features including the Wild Substitutions, Respins, Free Spins, Super Free Spins and eight Random Features.

The eight Random Features include Second Chance where the reels respin on a non-winning spin, the Block Breaker in which the reel area is expanded for more symbols, Random Wilds in which one to three Wild symbols are randomly added to the reels, and the Symbol Multiplier which multiplies all wins by between x5 and x20.

Microgaming wasn’t the only developer to announce an Egyptian-themed slot this week. Play’n GO announced the release of Doom Of Egypt, a game based on ancient Egyptian mythology that features detailed art and depictions.

Symbols in the new Play’n GO slot are based on Egyptian gods and mummies, as well as traditional playing card symbols. Meanwhile, the scarab Scatter symbol substitutes for all symbols and three or more symbols trigger the Free Spins feature. During the Free Spins feature, Expanding symbols can randomly land on the reels to help players make more winning combinations. These Expanding symbols can also cover entire reels, providing lots of win opportunities.
