Microgaming Partners With Stormcraft Studios For ‘Dragon Shard’ Slot
Microgaming has released a brand new online slot.
Dragon Shard is a 5×5 slot with 40 paylines that was developed by Stormcraft Studios exclusively for Microgaming. The slot, which is based on the Fortinium game engine, features a fantasy theme and sees the legendary Fire Queen fight the powerful Ice King over the Dragon Shard ancient artefact.
Symbols in the game include the Fire Queen, Ice King, Dragon Shards as well as dragons and playing card suit symbols. The game follows traditional slot gameplay mechanics, with Wild symbols substituting for all other symbols except the Scatter. However, there are some slight differences as the Fire Queen and Ice King symbols both stack to help make winning combinations.
Meanwhile, the game has two Mystery symbol. The green Mystery symbol reveals Wild symbols or any high or low symbol and only pays from left to right. The gold Mystery symbol, however, only reveals Wild symbols or high symbols and pays in both directions.
Dragon Shard also has a Free Spins feature which is triggered by landing Scatter symbols. Triggering this bonus will reward you with a selection of spins as well as one or more Mystery symbols and landing an additional Scatter will reward you with another spin, providing players with a chance to make big wins.
The game’s Win Booster can help players make additional wins as it allows wins to pay in both directions as opposed to just left to right. However, activating the feature costs two times your wager.
