Mega Moolah

Leading software supplier Microgaming paid out a total of €154,954,249 via its progressive jackpot network in 2018, consolidating its reputation of awarding jaw-dropping wins.

The Record-Breaking Mega Moolah Win

Nine lucky Microgaming players received seven-figure winnings from the game developer’s progressive jackpot games. The largest jackpot payout occurred in September 2018, when the winner was playing progressive slot Mega Moolah on a mobile device. The record-breaking jackpot win of €18,915,872.81 made Microgaming the current holder of the Guinness World Records title for the “largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game.”

Continuing to Impress in 2019

Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network continues to impress at the beginning of 2019. On 2nd January, another player hit a jackpot of €1,162,021.24 when playing Major Millions at 32Red. At the time of writing, the progressive jackpot network has given away a total sum of €980 million. The figure is the biggest in the online gambling industry. As the current Mega Moolah jackpot remains at €17m, Microgaming’s total payout will soon hit €1 billion.

“Congratulations to all the lucky winners in 2018. We are proud to host the industry’s largest progressive jackpot network, which paid out more than €150m last year, setting a number of payout records in the process,” said Microgaming’s CEO, John Coleman.

“It is remarkable to see total payouts nearing €1bn, which really highlights the strength of the network, and we are excited to be working on a series of developments aimed at taking our progressive jackpot offering to the next level,”
