A slew of new video slots were released this week by several leading game providers.

Microgaming’s Dangerous Quest

Microgaming launched a new game on Tuesday (January 21) titled African Quest, developed by Triple Edge Studios exclusively for Microgaming. The slot, which is based in the African desert, uses a 5×4 layout with 1,024 paylines and has an RTP of 96.52%. Symbols in the game include zebra, elephants, lions, rhinos and the traditional playing card letters and numbers.

African Quest includes dozens of special features including Stacked Lion symbols which can award big wins, Wild substitutions, and three Free Spins modes which all feature their own perks such as multipliers ranging between 1x and 4x. During the feature, players can land a 64x multiplier to make a giant win.

Play’n GO’s Vampiric Slot

Popular game provider Play’n GO launched their new slot this week, a sequel to the firm’s hit 2013 slot Wild Blood. The new game, Wildblood II, continues with the vampire-fantasy theme and follows characters Margaret, Rebecca and Laura from the first slot. Wildblood II uses a 6×4 layout with 4,096 paylines and has an RTP of 96.18%.

Symbols in the new slot include the three women, a skull, a dagger and the traditional playing card letters and symbols. The special features include Wild substitutions, Scatter symbols, Vampire Re-Spins triggered with a stacked Wild on the sixth reel, and three Bloodlust Free Spins, each with their own perks such as multipliers, expanding Wilds and more.

Game developer Pragmatic Play has decided to celebrate the Year of the Mouse by launching its new Money Mouse video slot this week. The game, which has been released to coincide with Chinese New Year, uses a 5×3 layout with 25 paylines and has an RTP of 96%. Symbols in the game include Chinese dragons, firecrackers, mangos, drums and the normal playing card symbols.

It has several special features including Wild substitutions, Scatter symbols which trigger the game’s Free Spins mode, a Giant Symbol which appears during the Free Spins, and a Money symbol which triggers the Money Re-Spin feature where players can win big sums and a chance to win the game’s Grand Jackpot.

NetEnt was the second provider to release an African-inspired video slot. The popular game provider, best known for Starburst, launched its Serengeti Kings video slot this week, a game that uses a 5×4 layout with 26 paylines and has an RTP of 96.7%. Symbols in the slot include panthers, lions, hyenas, giraffes, meerkats, zebra and playing card letters and numbers.

Serengeti Kings is packed with special features including Wild substitutions, the Lion and Panther features which, when activated simultaneously, create Wild symbols with multipliers, and Scatter symbols which trigger the game’s Free Spins mode of up to 12 spins. The slot also gives players a chance to purchase Free Spins, but this isn’t available at all online casinos.
