Betting Operator Spreadex Named Burnley FC’s New Shirt Sponsor

Spreadex Burnley FC Sponsorship

Betting operator Spreadex has been named as Burnley FC’s new shirt sponsor.

The betting website, which focuses on spread betting, will act as Burnley FC’s new shirt sponsor for the 2021-22 season, with the gambling website’s logo worn by the team’s players on their home, away and third kits.

In addition to appearing on the team’s kits, the sponsorship agreement between Burnley FC and Spreadex includes rights, with Spreadex having player access across the season, a presence on the club’s website and social media channels, and LED perimeter board advertising too.

In addition to the above, Spreadex will work with the club on a series of community and charity initiatives across the season, and the operator has said it will also run engagement activities for fans, including ticket competitions.

Ella Cummins, the Head of Commercial Partnerships at Burnley FC, said in a statement to iGamingBusiness: “We are delighted to welcome Spreadex as our new principal partner and have been impressed with the commitment they have already shown supporting fan initiatives and giving back to the community. We look forward to working together over the coming season on some exciting campaigns and are thrilled Spreadex has chosen Burnley Football Club for their first sports partnership.”

Dave MacKenzie, the Chief Executive at Spreadex, added: “We are delighted to join the Burnely FC family as main sponsor at an exciting time in both the club’s and our own futures. This deal reflects the ambitious growth plans Spreadex has as a company, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with a superbly-run club with such an established history and reputation.”

Also in sports betting news, Paddy Power last week announced that it would be donating a whopping €129,000 to grassroots Irish football clubs as part of its Save The Game campaign, where the operator pledged to donate €10,000 for every goal scored by England throughout the Euro Championship.

Salsa Technology Announces Content Agreement With Spearhead Studios

Salsa Technology has announced a new content agreement with Spearhead Studios, the developer studio owned by gambling operator EveryMatrix Group.

Under the brand new agreement, all of Spearhead Studios’ casino games have been made available with Salsa Technology’s aggregator platform Salsa Gator and have launched with all of Salsa Gator’s partnered casino operators. Games such as Book of Souls II, Wild Gold, Knights Of Fortune, and Book Of Muertitos are all included under the agreement.

As reported by European Gaming, the agreement helps extend Spearhead Studios’ player reach across licensed jurisdictions while expanding Salsa Technology’s content, which already includes games from other 60 content providers made available to gambling operators in Latin American and Brazil.

Salsa Technology COO Alberto Alfieri said in a statement: “Spearhead Studios share our philosophy of creating outstanding games with a localised design that really understands what the player wants. These new titles will be a welcome addition to our Salsa Gator offering.”

Mathias Larsson, the Managing Director of Spearhead Studios, added: “We are very excited to integrate our games into Salsa Technology. They will be a great partner for us, especially in the Latin American market, where they have a strong reputation and presence. Salsa is a prominent company in iGaming, and we’re looking forward to developing our partnership over the coming years.”

Relax Gaming Launches UK Exclusive Slot Money Cart 2 Bonus Reels

Also this week, game developer Relax Gaming has announced the launch of new UK exclusive video slot Money Cart 2: Bonus Reels.

The brand new slot is the latest instalment in the Money Cart slot series, and it sees the crew from the original game return in this highly volatile sequel, including Payer, Necromancer, Sniper, and Collector. The game uses a 5×4 layout with an RTP of 98%, and rather than relying on the traditional payline mechanic, the game uses a Hold and Win mechanic.

Money Cart 2: Bonus Reels includes numerous special features, including character combos, respins, a free spins mechanic, and it provides you with the ability to unlock new reels, giving you even more chances to make wins. The brand new Money Cart 2: Bonus Reels slot is now available with all Relax Gaming-partnered casino operators in the UK. There has been no information on a potential international launch for the game.

Simon Hammon, the CPO at Relax Gaming, said in a statement: “This game is about taking one of 2020’s most popular launches and applying a truly innovative approach to ensure players can get the very best out of entertainment under present regulations. Built with the UK specifically in mind, we set out to deliver a frequent-hit feature while remaining compliant and I’m delighted to say we have achieved that goal and more. Money Cart 2: Bonus Reels not only has the benefit of a successful legacy, but it’s a great slot experience in its own right, with a host of engaging features ready to entice players. We’re hopeful that it will prove to be one of this summer’s hottest hits.”

The launch of the brand new slot comes after Relax Gaming announced a content partnership with Storm Gaming, under which Storm Gaming’s entire portfolio of casino games have been made available with Relax’s game aggregator platform, allowing Storm to launch its games with all Relax Gaming partnered casino operators.

It also comes after Relax Gaming was fully acquired by gambling operator Kindred Group. The operator previously held 33.4% of shares, making it the largest shareholder in the studio, but acquired the remaining shares earlier this month for a total of €295 million.
