Cons

Betting Services

Virgin Bet primarily offers sports betting services to its customers. After registering, users will be able to bet on sports such as football, horse racing, baseball, basketball, American football, tennis, ice hockey, futsal, eSports, chess, darts, boxing, MMA, snooker, table tennis, rugby, volleyball and more.

In addition to the sports, customers will also be given the chance to wager on special events. This includes the upcoming US Presidential Election, the next UK General Election and the Denmark General Election. Other wagers include the winners of reality television shows and the winner of the BBC Sports Personality award.

Totepool

Totepools are some of the most popular forms of wagering. In totesports, punters are required to wager across several different races or events and their wager will be added to a pool. To win a share of the pool, you must win all races.

At the time of writing, however, Virgin Bet has yet to launch its horse racing wagering options. In addition, the website doesn’t offer greyhound racing, which means it currently does not provide users with totesports wagering.

Casino Games

Virgin Bet offers a wide range of casino games, including video slots, table games, live casino content, instant-win titles, virtual sports, and more. Game developers such as Microgaming, NetEnt, Blueprint Gaming, Evolution, Red Tiger Gaming, plus so much more.

Some of the games you can play here include Pyramid Plays, Coin Burst, Secrets Of The Pheonix Jackpot, Legacy of Oz Hyperspins, Jurassic Park, Regal Streak, Starburst, 9 Pots Of Gold, Frog Riches, Blackjack, The Goonies, Bonanza MegaWays, Tiny Golds, Fishin’ Frenzy Scratchcard, and numerous others too.

Promotions and Bonuses

Welcome Bonus

Like all other sportsbook sites, Virgin Bet offers new customers a generous welcome offer. After registering, you’ll be able to claim a £20 welcome offer. However, you’ll need to wager £10 or more on any sport of odds at 1/2 (1.5) or higher.

According to the terms and conditions, you’ll receive the bonus once your wager has been settled and the bonus will consist of two £10 bonuses. To receive the bonus, you’ll need to wager the required £10 within 14 days of registering at the website. Meanwhile, the two £10 bonuses must be used within 14 days of being credited and can only be used on sports betting, not casino games.

Other Promotions

In addition to offering you the Welcome Bonus, the online sportsbook also provides users with several promotions. This includes daily free spins, price boosts, weekly £10 free bets for placing two £10 bets on ACCAS, a £20 free bet for backing winners on select races, free spins throughout the week, and so much more.

VIP Loyalty

Since Virgin Bet is a brand new sports betting website, it currently does not offer a VIP Club or Loyalty Program. However, a customer support agent informed us that it is something the Promotions Team will look into and may implement in the future, so keep checking back to find out more!

Payment Options

Deposit

Since Virgin Bet is still a new website, it is only offering a small selection of payment options. However, these are major payment methods, so you’re still free to deposit in your preferred method. Just take a look below to find out more:

  • VISA / MasterCard: Available instantly
  • Apple Pay: Available instantly
  • PayPal: Available instantly

All deposits are completely free at Virgin Bet, which is great. However, some users may feel disappointed at the lack of options available but when we spoke to a customer support agent, we suggested the online sportsbook look into accepting e-Wallets such as Skrill and Neteller and prepaid card Paysafecard as payment options. These methods are popular throughout the online gambling industry and the agent promised to pass the suggestions along.

Withdrawals

With the exception of Apple Pay, you can use both of the above payment options for withdrawals. According to the online casino, it takes around five business days for a withdrawal to reach you. Similarly to deposits, Virgin Bet does not charge any additional fees for requesting withdrawals.

Account Verification

Like with most online casinos, after registering you’ll be required to verify your account by providing the online sportsbook documents that prove your identity, address and source of funds or payment method. The documents accepted by Virgin Bet include:

  • ID: Driving license, passport, birth certificate or UK residence permit
  • Address: A recent utility bill or bank statement that clearly displays your address
  • Banking: A bank statement, page from your online account or letter from your bank

You must either provide scans or pictures of the documents and send them to the site’s support team at support@virginbet.com or over the Virgin Bet live chat service. Your documents will be processed instantly and the Virgin Bet support team will contact you if they run into any problems.

Important: As of 14th April 2020, UK Casinos and Bookmakers no longer accept credit card deposits as per new regulation issued by the UK Gambling Commission.

Customer Support

Virgin Bet takes customer support seriously so if you run into a problem, make sure to contact them. You can do this in three ways, either by launching the live chat service, emailing the team on support@virginbet.com or by calling the team on +44 808 169 7700. Virgin Bet’s customer support team is available between 8 AM and 2 AM, seven days a week.

Live Chat: Our Experience

When we launched the Virgin Bet live chat service, we were instantly greeted by a support agent. We found that the agents we spoke to were incredibly helpful, friendly and supportive which was great to see. They replied quickly and provided us with the information we required, the first agent even went out of their way to help us and took several suggestions regarding payment methods which they may implement in the future.

If you do run into a problem when playing at Virgin Bet, we suggest you use the site’s live chat service as you’ll receive a quick reply and will have your problem solved in no time.

Mobile-Friendliness

What makes Virgin Bet different is that the website is incredibly mobile-friendly. In fact, Virgin Bet’s mobile websites have already launched while the desktop version hasn’t. At the time of writing, you can either access the sportsbook by playing in-browser on your smartphone or through the Android Virgin Bet mobile app.

The Android Virgin Bet mobile app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and allows you to wager on a variety of sports activities and events. It also allows users to claim bonuses, deposit and withdraw money, and contact the support team. However, it’s important to remember that downloading the app will take up space on your Android device.

Alternatively, you can play in-browser. This works on both iOS and Android devices. To do this, you simply have to launch your smartphone browser, load up the online casino and then register or log-in. That’s it! Once you’ve done that, you can wager on sports, deposit, withdraw and everything else. However, it’s important to note that right now, at the time of writing, in-browser is the only way iOS users can access the site until the Virgin Bet mobile app is available in the Apple App Store.

A customer support agent informed us that the iOS mobile app will be made available within the next week – so keep checking the App Store!

Sister Sites

Virgin Bet is owned by Virgin Bet Limited, but does not currently have any sister sites. If you’re interested in registering with and playing at similar websites, it’s worth checking out websites like William Hill, SportPesa, Betfred, Betway, Bet365, and more, all of which offer sports betting activities, casino games, and a variety of promotions too.

Summary

Virgin Bet is a new online sportsbook which is why the desktop website and iOS mobile app have yet to launch. Once fully operational, we’re sure that the site will offer a great selection of betting opportunities as well as a great collection of casino games. Even now the site is offering a great selection of sports games and some of the best customer support we’ve experienced, particularly since the agents are willing to pass on some suggestions to improve the website in the future.

However, the full site won’t be up for several few months which means Virgin Bet is, for now, specifically tailored for mobile users. If you prefer gaming at your desktop computer or laptop, this might not be the site for you and we suggest you check back in a couple of months. For us, however, Virgin Bet is a great online sportsbook.
